About Us
Community councils are voluntary organisations responsible for representing local views to local and central government. There is additional information about our role and our work with local government. Our constitution details how we operate.
North Kelvin Community Council serves a diverse river and canal-side community containing a wide social mix. One third students, housed in Murano Street Complex and a large number of multiple occupancy properties. North Kelvin is also a largely ageing population. The area is facing change on many fronts, including a number of Brownfield Sites being prepared for development. North Kelvin Community Council are embracing these changes and working hard to positively influence its future direction.
