Your community council is your local organisation responsible for representing the views of North Kelvin to local and central government. Members of North Kelvin Community Council are all volunteers, and membership is open to all residents in the area on the electoral roll. North Kelvin Community Council serves a diverse river and canal-side community containing a wide social mix. One third students, housed in Murano Street Complex and a large number of multiple occupancy properties. North Kelvin is also a largely ageing population. The area is facing change on many fronts, including a number of brownfield sites being prepared for development. North Kelvin Community Council are embracing these changes and working hard to positively influence its future direction.
Meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month (except July and December), and take between 1 and 2 hours. All residents are welcome to attend, as visitors or with a view to becoming a member.
