Plans for former football pitches published

Last Saturday, plans for a housing development on the former Clouston Street playing fields site were presented for the first time by the Glasgow City Council’s preferred developers, New City Vision (NCV).

At the drop-in event at the Kelbourne Street Scout Hall, NCV encouraged visitors to fill in feedback forms with their reaction to the proposals as part of the pre-planning exercise.

The revised plans for 90 flats are available to download from the developer’s web site.

North Kelvin Community Council will be holding a public meeting to discuss the proposed development at Clouston Street pitches/North Kelvin Meadow on Monday 28 February at 6.30pm at St Charles’ School, 13 Kelvinside Gardens, G20 6BG.

Representatives from New City Vision and North Kelvin Meadow will be in attendance.

All with an interest in the future of this area of North Kelvinside is encouraged to attend and make your voice heard.

Developer exhibition of plans for North Kelvin Meadow

New City Vision, the developer appointed by Glasgow City Council to build up to 115 flats on the former Clouston Street pitches/North Kelvin Meadow are holding a Public Exhibition this Saturday, 12 February 2011 in Kelbourne Street Scout Hall from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

It is understood that they will be displaying the plans which they intend to submit as part of their application for Planning Permission. This is the first opportunity the public will have to see the finalised version of the scheme.

Members of the public will be able to drop in and speak to the developers one-to-one about their plans. This will not however, be a formal meeting.

We encourage anyone with an interest in the future of this land to come down, see the plans and discuss your views with the developer.

New web site for North Kelvin Community Council

North Kelvin Community Council has now launched its new web site.

The site will now be much easier to update which means we can post up-to-date information and the minutes of our meetings in a more timely fashion.

Through time, we intend to add information about major issues affecting our area and to use the site to get feedback from all of the community. So if there is an issue you feel we should be addressing please get in touch with us or join in the conversation by adding your comments on any of our posts.
