NKCC health walk 16 August
We will be taking a meander around some of the leafy areas of the West End –Kirklee, Hyndland, Dowanhill and taking in bits of the Botanics, the river walkway and the North Kelvin Meadow.
This walk is 5.39km or 3.35 miles.
Meeting point
Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our noticeboard.
Access/safety
There are parts of the route on unsurfaced paths with uneven surfaces and some narrow or muddy bits (mainly the river walkway by the Mask and Puppet Theatre and the North Kelvin Meadow). If there has been heavy rain we can adjust to avoid these bits.
The route can be adapted to make it step free (the only steps are the path to Garrioch Drive and these can be avoided by taking the sloping path to the top as an alternative.
Please dress for the weather and you may wish to bring drinking water.
