Licensing consultation: tell us what you think

We’re always interested to hear your views on life in North Kelvin so we can feed them back to the City Council. Right now we’re particularly interested in your views on the licensing and regulation of alcohol.

The City of Glasgow Licensing Board is undertaking a comprehensive review and evidence-gathering process in relation to the development of its new Licensing Policy Statement (due to be published November 2018 at the latest). You can download current policy on licensing from the GCC website (PDF). We will be passing on comments from the local community, so please let us know what you think.

Possible issues associated with licensing include:

  • antisocial behaviour
  • licensing hours for pubs, restaurants and off sales
  • over-provision in our area
  • minimum pricing

We need to have your responses for the new policy by our meeting on Tuesday 7th November 2017 at the latest. You can leave a comment below, contact us on facebook, email us or come to a meeting.

We also expect a consultation on the possible introduction of a restricted parking zone (RPZ) to be held soon, possibly in spring 2018. We would like to have as many of your views as possible in advance of the consultation, so please let us know what you think.

Remember, if you don’t tell us, we can’t tell them where you think improvements need to be made!
