Community clean-up Sunday 20 June 2021
Our clean-ups are back and this time it’s musical! Coordinating with the Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign, we have arranged a community clean-up on Sunday 20th June between 10:30 and 12:30.
As a special treat we will have a pop-up musical performance from the Nevis Ensemble, Scotland’s Street Orchestra, while we work!
We will meet at the junction of Firhill Rd and Garscube Rd and then head up Firhill Rd, taking in Firhill St, Springbank St and Northpark St, then crossing Maryhill Rd and down Dunard St, Wilton Dr, Kirkland St to Wilton St.
Please join in if you can! We will be spread out in small groups observing Covid social-distancing restrictions.
We’ll provide equipment but please bring your own litter picker and gloves if you have them.
To keep things Covid-safe we won’t be supplying our usual refreshments but please bring your own.
The Nevis Ensemble will be performing in the space opposite the Mackintosh Church from about 11.15.
We look forward to seeing you!
I stay in Firhill St & regularly litter pick this area
That’s great to hear. Hope you can join us on Sunday if you’re free.
That sounds great. I regularly litter pick this area too so Springbank St and Firhill Rd are pretty clean. (I’d like to say spotless but there are probably a few cigarette ends lying about…!) Enjoy your day. I’m looking forward to hearing the music.
That’s also good to hear!
Well done true community spirit
