NKCC health walk, 13 Dec

Our next walk is on Saturday 13 December 2025. Destination: Maryhill Burgh Halls.

Meeting point

Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our noticeboard.

About the walk

We will walk to Maryhill Burgh Halls and back along the canal. This walk is 4.49km or 2.79 miles.

Access/safety

The route is largely step free with a few steps down from the canal. Please do dress for the weather.

Full details of the route

Walk along Queen Margaret Drive to the lights and cross. Clouston Street, Sanda Street, Kelbourne Street, Hotspur Street, Garrioch Road, into the Wyndford at Garrioch Gate, Glenfinnan Road and out the front of the Wyndford to Maryhill Road.

Along Maryhill Road to Garbraid Avenue, Burnhouse Street, onto the canal. Along the canal back to the Murano Street footbridge where we walk down to Maryhill Road, cross at the Fire Station, Kelvinside Avenue, Queen Margaret Drive.

Registration

There is no need to book – you can just come along on the day.

Remember…

★ Please wear comfortable shoes

★ Dress for the weather and consider bringing drinking water

★ Walkers needing 1:1 support should bring a buddy with them to help

★ Children must be accompanied by an adult
