NKCC health walk, 30 May

Our next walk is on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Meet as usual at 2pm.

Meeting point

Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our noticeboard.

About the walk

Our next walk will largely follow a route we have walked on previous occasions, but will go through a few quieter sections we have by-passed on these walks. Participants have enjoyed toddling through lanes. We will go as far as the streets around the industrial estates north of Maryhill Road, directly across from Tesco.

Total distance 2.4 miles (3.9km).

The route

From QMD bridge to Kelvin Drive, Botanic Crescent, Kelvin Drive, Garriochmill Road, Garrioch Drive, a brief sojourn into and back out of a small park, Garrioch Quadrant, Garrioch Road, Maryhill Road, Shawbrook St, Craigmont St, Maryhill Road, Chapel St (along and back), Ruchill St, canal towpath to footbridge at Student Village, Maryhill Road, Kelvinside Avenue, Queen Margaret Drive.

Registration

There is no need to book – you can just come along on the day.

However, if you haven’t done so already, it would be helpful if you could record your participation by entering your data on this registration link. (This needs to be done only once.)

Remember…

★ Please wear comfortable shoes

★ Dress for the weather and consider bringing drinking water

★ Walkers needing 1:1 support should bring a buddy with them to help

★ Children must be accompanied by an adult
