Queen Margaret Drive roadworks

Essential water works are taking place on Queen Margaret Drive for 6 weeks (due to finish mid-February). This is causing a great deal of disruption and inconvenience to local residents and businesses, which has been compounded by the lack of advance information from Scottish Water and Glasgow City Council regarding road diversions, access for emergency services, interruptions to water supply and so on.

Please note that the shops on Queen Margaret Drive are open as usual, despite the disruption. It is more important than ever to support your local businesses during this difficult trading period, so please shop local if you can. Use it or lose it!

The next North Kelvin Community Council meeting is on Tuesday 20 January. If you have concerns about the road closure and its knock-on effects, come to the meeting and talk to your local representatives and city councillors. Your concerns will be passed on to Glasgow City Council. You can also comment here or contact us on our Facebook or Twitter pages.
