NKCC health walk, 7 Feb

Our next walk is on Saturday, 7 February 2026. Destination: Cadder Woods. Meet as usual at 2pm.

Meeting point

Meet on Queen Margaret Bridge at the junction with Queen Margaret Road at 2pm, opposite our noticeboard.

About the walk

We will go to Cadder Woods via the Forth and Clyde Canal beyond Stockingfield Bridge, but go around it in the opposite direction to our previous walks and we will go into the middle of the woods.

When we leave woods at Langa St, we will follow the street to Cadder Road and cross into Glenburn St. and enter Gilshochill by a route we have not used previously.

From Glenburn St we turn left into Cottar St and continue to Campbell St, where we turn left.

After a short distance, there is a footpath on the right which leads us to the canal towpath. We cross Stockingfield Bridge and return via the towpath.

Registration

There is no need to book – you can just come along on the day.

Remember…

★ Please wear comfortable shoes

★ Dress for the weather and consider bringing drinking water

★ Walkers needing 1:1 support should bring a buddy with them to help

★ Children must be accompanied by an adult
